Profile

El Puerto de Santa Marķa was historically linked with the Royal House of Dukes of Medinaceli for over 400 years from 1310 to 1729. In such momentous times for out town, such as the discovery of America, Luis de la Cerda, I Duke of Medinaceli and First Count of the Great Port of Santa Marķa, was a key player. He was of great value to Christopher Columbus himself as a means to the Catholic Royal Family to be able to carry out his projects.

The Hotel has 28 magnificent suites and bedrooms, each one decorated and furnished with taste, distinction and to the highest quality. Enjoy the collection of fine art, rugs and tapestries which forms part of their overall ambience. There is a swimming pool, sauna, hairdresser, private garage and all with in walking distance of the centre of the town and the well known ribera del marisco. You will find the Reina Isabel Restaurant situated in the old dining room of the palace-house.

It has a magnificent lodge which forms the entrance and a terrace which looks out onto the Botanical Garden. Here you can enjoy our exquisite food and excellent service, leaving you to sample the very best of our Mediterranean gastronomy. Every care and attention is paid to the quality and presentation of each dish.  A portrait of Queen Isabel II, who also visited our city during her reign, dominates the restaurant.
