By plane/boat: You can reach the island of Ibiza either by plane or boat. The main airport is San José de Ibiza, placed 20 kilometres from the Fiesta Hotel Palmyra. Flights from the neighbour islands Mallorca and Formentera, as well as Valencia and Barcelona in continental Spain, get here on a regular basis. There are also services from France and Germany, among other places in Europe. The port at Ibiza, meanwhile, welcomes ferries from other Balearic Islands and cities such as Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante. However, the port nearest to the Fiesta Hotel Plamyra is without any doubt the one at Sant Antoni de Portomany: ferries from Barcelona and Dénia arrive here several times a week.
By car: From San Jose Airport, the hotel is really easy to reach, and it will take you less than 20 minutes. Get on the motorway that goes from the terminal to Ibiza (Carretera de Ibiza-Aeropuerto) and then continue along the E-20. At Ibiza, get on the C-731, which will lead you by San Rafael de San Creu before reaching San Antonio. Once you arrive to the city, you will have to turn left before a big roundabout and then left again into Doctor Fleming Avenue, where you will find the hotel at number 18. - If you carry your car on the ferries getting to Ibiza Port, the trip is quite similar. Just get on the Avenida de les Andanes once you leave the port and drive up to the second avenue, D`Ignasi Wallis. Here, turn right and after the second roundabout, you will already be on the C-731 on your way to San Antonio. - Last but not least, if you arrive at the port of San Antonio, the distance is pretty short, of only 950 metres. Go along the Passeig de la Mar, continue on Passeig des Fonts, and at a roundabout turn right into Doctor Fleming Avenue.
By bus: San Antonio presents excellent connections with Ibiza: you may take the buses that go one way or another every half and hour, and notice that during the night, there are special services leading to the discos scattered throughout the island, known as the "DiscoBus". The San José Airport is also accessible through the bus line number 10 from Ibiza, therefore you may get off at this main city and change to another bus going to San Antonio. - In addition to this, there are buses from San Antonio to several sights in the surrounding area, such as Cala Bassa, Port des Torrents and Caló des Moro. |
