The only thing I would complain about with the room was the bathroom. On the surface it was clean that is, wiped daily with fresh towels daily, bins emptied etc, but the tiles and shower curtain could have done with cleaning and there was a foul smell every time we ran water in the basin and bath. Otherwise it was very good. ... Checking out was very straightforward. As we were leaving early in the morning we paid our bill the night before and the receptionist booked our taxi, which collected us at the hotel eventhough the hotel is located on a pedestrianised street. ... None ... A really nice place to stay. Food was good, staff friendly, very relaxing.

More information about lack of car parking near the hotel as we had to park some distance away by the harbour, having travelled to the hotel from our home in the south of the island. ... Friendly & comfortable. The 'English Breakfast' was not up to the standard we would expect, in that it was lukewarm. The international TV channels only included one BBC programme - BBC Prime which often didn't work.

1.Taxi driver was unable to find Hotel (the street is pedestrianised). 2.Room was at basement level with small yard 3m below ground level. After two nights, we were moved to excellent room with balcony as promised and paid for. Later comments relate to the second room. 3. We suggest clients be advised to arrange transfer from south airport from UK before travel as taxi fare is expensive - 100 euros. Alternatively, the smaller hotels could co-operate in arranging cheaper transfers (e.g. minibus) for independant visitors. 4. It was a little cheeky to charge extra for the use of the refrigerator.
... Perhaps it should be made clear that not all the rooms are the same standard as those shown in the photographs, which seem mostly to be at the front (south) of the hotel. Generally, however, the hotel gives excellent service and lives up to its reputation as a friendly and refined family-run establishment. ... Friendly, charming, attractive.
