| | Facilities within the Property |
As much as Aranjuez`s sights may attract you and be right in front of the hotel`s doorstep, the NH Principe de la Paz offers its guests facilities to tempt them for a day indoors: a sauna, a gym and the delicacies of its traditional restaurant are some of these. |
As you enter this 4 star hotel, you will surely feel a "deja-vu" from the Royal Palace you have previously seen on your arrival to Aranjuez. And this should not be considered strange, as the original building of the lodging was also meant to have this luxurious fate. The reception area shows some remains of the setting from the 17th and 19th centuries, such as the ample "vaults". |
At the front desk, attendants speaking English, French and Spanish will assess you with car rental and any other request 24 hours a day. They will also show you around the sauna, the gym and parking disposed for your use, and the rest of the common areas. Baby-sitting is available, though on request and for a certain fee. |
The most important among these is without any doubt the restaurant "Muserola", open for lunch or dinner. Featuring the same "vaults" as the rest of the hotel, it offers some specialties, like a variety of home-made breads, olive oils and coffees; it also presents two private areas for social gatherings or romantic dates, and an interesting selection of wines and "habanos". |
In the mornings, enjoy a complete buffet breakfast and when you come back from your tours around Aranjuez, have a drink at the bar. In addition to the provision of services such as laundry, trousers` ironing and shoes` cleaning, there is a free connection to Internet in every point inside the hotel. These amenities have a lot to do with the fact that the NH Principe de la Paz pays a particular attention to the hosting of meetings, and the close distance to Madrid makes it an ideal option for conferences or business events. |
Its six salons (the Alazán, Corona, Brida, Arabe, Criollo and Lusitano) are equipped with every technology needed for presentations, from video conference and microphones to simultaneous translations and DVD. The capacities vary from 40 people to 350, in areas measuring 50 to 350 square meters, and there are even options to put two salons together. The original remains of the so-called Godoy`s Palace are also part of the atmosphere at these meeting rooms. |

| The NH Principe de la Paz is located steps from Aranjuez`s main sightseeing point: it actually faces the southern section of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, which dates as far back as the medieval times. Used as a residence by the Catholic Monarchs, it is placed between the Rivers Jarama and Tajo, two water streams that enable this city to defy the dry conditions of Spain`s central Castile and boast strawberries and asparagus plantations like no other place in the area. It was King Felipe II who ordered the construction of the Palace: the same architects that created El Escorial in Madrid were in charge of it, Juan Bautista de Toledo and Juan de Herrera, but the works could not be finished till the reign of Felipe IV; and later on, two wings were added, turning this palace into one of Spain`s main sightseeing destinies. Once you have visited the China Room and the Mirrors` one, don`t miss the marvelous gardens surrounding the property. This landscape is one of the best legacies of the Habsburgo family to the country, and was acknowledged by the Unesco in 2001. The hotel is located 300 meters from Aranjuez`s centre, where you will find shops to acquire souvenirs and many restaurants. |
