By Plane: The Barajas Airport welcomes flights from all over the world on a daily basis, as well as connections from other cities in Spain. The ideal way to reach Aranjuez is by renting a car, as the distance is relatively short; but the public transport also has an alternative way to get to the NH Príncipe de la Paz. You will have to travel to the centre of Madrid, which is only 12 kilometres from the airport, and from here take a train to Aranjuez.
By Car: Once you leave the Barajas Airport, you will have to leave the city of Madrid. With this purpose, continue straight following the signpost "Madrid/ Feria de Madrid/ Terminal 2/ Salidas/ Terminal 3/ P-2" and then turn left into the E90/M22/N100, in the direction "Madrid/M40/Sur". Keep on, for 4 kilometres, along this track, which will cross two important junctions, and then continue along E5/E90/M40. Head towards "R3/Valencia" and afterwards, "Exit 19B/ M-45/ M-50/ R-4/ Córdoba", till you reach the M31. Take this highway and head to "E-5/ A-4/ Córdoba/ R-4/ Córdoba/ A-42/R-5/ A-5/ A-6". Then go on along the M50 for 8,5 kilometres: as you pass close to Getafe, take the exit 46 and drive towards "Madrid/ Córdoba" and then "Ocaña/ Córdoba". You will come to a roundabout, where you must take the E5/A4: you will drive past the towns of Pinto and Valdemoro and then take the exit 37, which is signposted "Exit 37/ M-305/ Aranjuez Norte/ Camino de Servicio". After 23 kilometres along the E5/A4, go along the M305, which will cross the river Jarama and pass by El Cerro before reaching Aranjuez. Here, after a roundabout located just steps from the River Tajo, turn right into Avenida de Palacio and then left into La Florida street. The first on your right is San Antonio, turn in the same direction and you will find the NH Príncipe de la Paz on the second block ahead of you, right between the streets Valera and Príncipe de la Paz. (This journey will take around 48 minutes).
By train: As there is no train system reaching the Barajas Airport, you will have to reach Madrid through the metro. The line 8 Barajas-Nuevos Ministerios will leave you off in the centre of Madrid: just get off the subway at the last stop and change to line 6 Circular. At the station Cuatro Caminos, change again to line 1 Plaza de Castilla-Cangosto, and head towards Cangosto. Get off at the stop Atocha RENFE ("Renfe" is the name given to the railway system "Cercanías", which will take you to Aranjuez). Take the line C-3 of this train till Aranjuez, also the last stop. Here, you may take bus number 1 to approach the hotel: get off near Plaza San Antonio, reach the Principe de la Paz street and walk 100 metres up to San Antonio street. Turn left and you will see the NH Príncipe de la Paz. |
