The AC Nuevo Portil Golf Hotel, with its newly built hundred-acre pine tree golf course, is located on the western shore of the Costa de la Luz, in the town of Cartaya. The 69 rooms are modern and bright in style with terraces overlooking the golf course, swimming pool or ocean. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as cable television, climate control, direct-dial phones and dial-up Internet access.
Business guests can make use of the conference rooms, or enjoy a more informal meeting over a round of golf. Families visiting the hotel can take advantage of the childcare facilities and outdoor swimming pool. To relax after a hard day's putting on the hotel's extensive course, guests can visit the sauna or enjoy a drink at the bar. Two restaurants are available to guests. The Nineteen Snack Bar offers light food like sandwiches, baguettes, and the house special, AC Hamburger on a large outside terrace. Alternatively, at the Albatross guests can enjoy an Ã la carte lunch and dinner in an Asiatic setting, overlooking the pine trees and golf course. Those keen to explore beyond the golf course will find Huelva town 20 kilometres away, known as the 'flamenco capital'. One of the most popular attractions is to take the hourly ferry (summer only) across the bay to Punta UmbrÃa, the local resort. Alternatively, guests who favour more recreational activities can go horse riding, mountain biking or jet skiing and windsurfing at Punta Umbria's beach, which is ten kilometres from the hotel. The nearest airport is in Seville, around an hour and a half drive away.
