By Plane/Boat
There are several ways to reach the inn, either by plane or boat. Tenerife has two airports, the "Reina Sofía", to the south of the island, and "Rodeos", to the north of it. It would be of your convenience the Reina Sofía one, as it is only 15 kilometres from the property, while "Rodeos" is 85 km away: the southern terminal welcomes more tourists than the northern one, though it will be easy to find connections from many cities in Europe to both airports. However, you may also reach Tenerife through its two ports: Los Cristianos, only 200 metres from the Apartamentos Plataneras, and Santa Cruz, in the capital city, which is 77 kilometres from the lodging. It is at the latter that you may get ferries to reach Gran Canaria and the airport in Las Palmas.
By Car
As you leave the "Reina Sofia" airport, get on the TF-1 highway and get off at exit 72, already signalling Los Cristianos. Head towards "Los Cristianos/ Cambio de sentido" and then continue along TF-28 till you reach a roundabout: here, take the third exit into TF-665 and keep on it up to Avenida de Amsterdam. Turn left into it, afterwards right into Avenida de Juan Carlos Darías, and finally, at a roundabout, left into Avenida de Londres. You will find the Apartamentos Plataneras a block later, right after the crossing of Calle de Lisboa street, on your left hand side. (This journey will take around 20 minutes)
If you arrive at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and have travelled with your car on board, it will imply a 50 minutes drive to Los Cristianos. You must take the TF-5 highway towards "Aeropuerto Sur/Los Cristianos" and then get on the TF-1, after which you can follow the directions already described.
By bus
Many bus lines reach Los Cristianos. From the "Reina Sofía" airport, you can take the line 487 that leaves every hour and has only 5 stops till the location where the lodging is placed. If you land at the northern airport, get on any of the buses to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (102, 107, 108, for example) and then take the 110 or 111 from the main station (called "Intercambiador"): these buses leave every 30 minutes. The centre of town in Los Cristianos is only 700 metres from the property. Notice that there also easy connections from Los Cristianos to Playa de las Américas. |
